Towards the end of last week I had a catch up with Stuart about my project and where I wanted to take it. We discussed my lack of focus and drive when it come to a community based project and although this had been a focus of my proposal with the current climate and government advice to stay inside with the impact of Covid-19 taking its toll I feel that it is in bad taste to be trying to make an art or design outcome based on peoples situation. I accept that this would be a good opportunity for community engagement from an online perspective but in my position I am unsure about the value or presence that I can have. Maybe this is due to not having a clear idea about how I can formalise this idea.. I spoke to Stuart about this project being an oppertunity to explore my own practice in more detail. I believe that as of yet there has only been a small number of projects that I have responded to that have enabled me to explore techniques and processes that I wish to continue with.
